Interfaces Developer
The role will be a critical part of a small team working with the client to design, implement, test, and deploy new import/export functionality for our existing enterprise solutions. We’re looking for a candidate that is a passionate problem solver with excellent communication skills that is experienced with troubleshooting and designing new functionality based on client requirements and documentation.
We move fast and expect you to own your work end-to-end. It's not always easy, but what we build directly improves outcomes for families and providers relying on child care every day.
Primary responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance new and existing backend application components and ETL processes including creation and modifying of stored procedures, SQL Job, SSIS packages, API's, and PowerShell and Batch scripts.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex data and performance issues and provide technical solutions.
- Actively utilize modern AI based tools such as Claude Code for daily repetitive tasks and new code development.
- Implement solutions clearly and concisely, resulting in code that is easy to understand and maintain.
- Debug and test all new and/or modified code.
- Actively participates in after-hours code deployments, database scripting, and the running of critical job components where applicable.
- Creation of necessary technical documentation based on implementation details.
- Participate in daily product standups to report progress, work performed, and potential blocking issues or other problems.
- Work directly with clients for requirement gathering and extraction of necessary details for the building of new data structures.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure conformance to internal standards and specifications.
- Participate in product design sessions with clients to provide technical guidance as well as level of effort estimates for future planning.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to provide technical support during testing phases.
- Ability to follow through and complete coding on critical projects and tasks, meeting any and all important deadlines, where applicable.
- Stays current with technical training and company standards as required.
Who You Are:
- Minimum 4-5 years of recent experience with enterprise level Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Strong Knowledge of:
- Relational Database Design
- Understanding of ETL-related processing and best practices
- T-SQL programming, including the development of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
- Ability to profile and performance tune stored procedures using query plan execution tools
- Passionate problem solver; adept at troubleshooting support tickets by tracing the code's path to identify and solve problems.
- Team player capable of working in a small group as well as independently
- Strong interpersonal skills in communication, planning, organizing, analyzing, and problem-solving
- High attention to detail
- Experience working with Claude Code and Jira is a plus

- The ability to work from anywhere in the United States, this position is primarily remote, with required travel one time per year.
- The compensation range for this role is $100,000-$110,000.
